The Singing Tree is a two-act, magical-realism musical play which tells the story of Cuban/American Miguel Montes and his journey of self-discovery as we travel through history and the exhilarating world of Afro-Cuban music. Presented as a high energy, richly emotional, captivating original story with Love and Loss, Betrayal and Sacrifice, Forgiveness, Joy and Hope. The story begins in Africa, travels to Cuba and New York City spanning almost two centuries from 1804 to 1974.
Cuba's first capital, Santiago de Cuba was a melting pot with profound cultural and artistic influences: Art, Language, Dance and of course, Music.
